Heating & Smoke Element FAQ

What heating element fits a Southern Pride SC-200 electric smoker?
The SC-200 smoke element is #436024, a 120V 300W element shared with the DH-65. If your SC-200 runs on 208V or 240V, use main heating element #436017 (208V) or #436015 (240V) instead. Always match the voltage stamped on your data plate.
What is the difference between a smoke element and a steam element?
A smoke element heats the wood chip box to generate smoke, while a steam element heats the water pan for moisture. On the SC-300, for example, the smoke element is #436033 and the separate steam element is #436032. Ordering one in place of the other is the most common element mistake.
Which heating element do I need for a Southern Pride SC-300?
The SC-300 smoke element is #436033 (208V) or #436034 (230V), and its 750W steam element is #436032 (230V) or #436036 (208V). Match the voltage on your existing element before ordering.
Do Southern Pride electric smoker elements come in different voltages?
Yes. Elements are voltage-specific and are not interchangeable. The same SC-200 and DH-65 main element is stocked as #436017 for 208V and #436015 for 240V, so order to your supply voltage.
What heating element fits a YieldKing YK-200 smoker?
The YK-200 main heating element is #436012 (208V 2250W) or #436013 (240V, shared with the SC-300). Its 900W steam element is #436002 and its 600W smoke element is #436001, both shared with the YK-100A.
Does the SC-600 use the same element as the SC-200?
No. The SC-600 main element is #436019 (208V 400W), while the SC-200 uses the 120V 300W element #436024. Elements are matched to each cabinet wattage and voltage.
