Convection Gas Heat

The MLR-850 is a high-capacity gas-fired rotisserie smoker with a convection air system. A 125,000 BTU (37KW) burner runs on natural or LP gas through a 1/2" NPT inlet and ignites the wood in the firebox, while the convection system circulates heat and smoke around the rotating racks for even color and yield. A Subterthermic front or rear flue keeps smoke and heat in the cabinet longer for deeper flavor, better efficiency, and less wood used. Supply line pressure: natural 4.5–10.0" W.C.; LP 11.0–13.0" W.C.

Rotisserie Capacity & Racks

The MLR-850 uses (4) 5-tier rack hangers that hold up to (20) 18" x 22" (457 x 559mm) nickel-chrome product racks at 3-1/2" (89mm) spacing — one of the largest rack counts in the Southern Pride lineup. Typical loads run about 72 pork butts (8–10 lb), 80 St. Louis ribs, 96 whole chickens, or 24 beef briskets.
