If you've got an older Southern Pride unit with the chrome-ring main power switch and it's finally given up, you don't need to hunt down a matching old style replacement. Southern Pride's current main power switch assembly, part# 441035, is a direct swap.

Wire for Wire Compatible

The new style switch looks different from the old chrome-ring version, but electrically it's the same part. The terminal numbering on the contact block matches between old and new, so you're not rewiring anything or guessing at connections. Pull the leads off the old switch one at a time and land them on the same numbered terminals on the new block.

The new style assembly breaks down into a few separate pieces: the actuator (the knob you turn), the LED light block, and the N.O. contact block. These snap together into one assembly before it goes into the panel.

Knowing these are separate components matters if you ever need to replace just one piece of the switch down the road instead of the whole assembly.

Installation Notes

The physical mounting and panel cutout accept the new switch without modification — it's a direct bolt-in. Once it's in place and the wires are landed on the matching terminal numbers, you're back in business.

If you're not the one doing the wiring, this information can be passed along to your installer or service tech so they know what they're dealing with before they start pulling the old switch.
