Mechanical Thermostat Rotisserie Only Working With Foot Pedal

If you're Southern Pride smoker with a mechanical thermostat is working fine except the rotisserie will not work except by using a foot pedal you likely have a faulty NC (Normally Closed) contact block on your rotisserie advance switch.

When tested with a volt meter your NC block should read 120v to each side of the NC block to case ground when the smoker doors are closed.
